1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CardDojo (the "Service"), operated by [Company Legal Name] ("CardDojo," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using CardDojo, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. The Service
CardDojo is a platform for trading card collectors and vendors. It includes:
- tools to catalog and manage a personal card collection and inventory;
- a marketplace where vendors can list cards for sale and collectors can browse, message, and purchase;
- a nationwide calendar of in-person card shows;
- a physical authentication sticker system, using scannable QR codes, that helps establish scannable history for graded and raw cards.
4. Accounts
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. One person or organization may not maintain more than one account without our permission.
5. CardDojo's Role in the Marketplace
CardDojo is a platform, not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers. When you buy or sell through CardDojo, the contract for that sale is between you and the other user — CardDojo is not the seller, buyer, or a broker of the item, except where we explicitly identify a listing as sold directly by CardDojo. We do not inspect every listing before it's posted, and we do not guarantee the condition, authenticity, or grading accuracy of any card listed by a third-party vendor.
Each vendor is solely responsible for the accuracy of their own listings, for fulfilling orders, for any applicable sales tax, and for complying with all laws that apply to their sales.
6. Vendor / Organization Terms
If you register an organization to sell on CardDojo:
- you may be asked to complete a seller verification process before your listings go live;
- you're responsible for the accuracy of your organization's profile, listings, and pricing;
- you agree not to list counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented items;
- any fees associated with selling on CardDojo will be disclosed to you before they apply.
7. Orders, Payments, and Fulfillment
Orders may be fulfilled by shipping, in-person pickup at a card show, or immediate in-person exchange, depending on what the vendor offers. Where online payment is available, payments are processed by a third-party payment processor — CardDojo never stores your full payment card number. Where online payment is not yet available for a given transaction, payment and exchange may occur directly between buyer and seller in person.
8. Authentication Stickers
CardDojo's QR authentication stickers are issued to a specific physical card and are not transferable to a different card. You agree not to tamper with, duplicate, or attempt to reuse a sticker code on a different item. Scanning a sticker's QR code shows the ownership history CardDojo has recorded for that item; it does not itself certify a card's grade or condition.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- list or sell counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented cards;
- harass, threaten, or defraud other users;
- circumvent or interfere with the security or normal operation of the Service, including scraping the Service at scale without our permission;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose; or
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including in response to a credible stolen-item report.
10. Content and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the content you post (listing descriptions, photos, reviews, messages), but you grant CardDojo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the Service.
Card names, artwork, and trademarks referenced on CardDojo belong to their respective rights holders (e.g., trading card game publishers) and are used for identification purposes only; CardDojo is not affiliated with or endorsed by those rights holders unless explicitly stated. Card pricing and catalog data displayed on the Service may be sourced from third-party providers and is provided for informational purposes only — we don't guarantee its accuracy.
11. Reviews
Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. We may remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise violate these Terms.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY CARD PRICING, GRADING, OR AUTHENTICITY INFORMATION DISPLAYED ON THE SERVICE IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARDDOJO WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY TRANSACTION BETWEEN USERS.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold CardDojo harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we believe you've violated these Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [State], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [State].
17. Changes to These Terms
